1965 John Deere 4020 Diesel
I have had this tractor for about 7 years and it has been a good one. Has been mainly used for shredding and hay field work. Has not been treated like crap at all, it has been taken care of and kept in the barn when not in use.
Tractor seat is in good shape with no tears. Injection pump was rebuilt about a year ago, new batteries as of november 2013. Tractor hour meter is stuck on about 3000hrs.
It was that way when i got it and i’ve probably put 1000hrs on it since i’ve owned it. Tractor starts and runs great, however it does have some blowby at start up but that goes away in a few minutes.
Leaks some hydraulic fluid from the rear remote and a some at the power steering pump. Tires are in good shape. Front tires are the old 3 rib type and are about 70%, rear tires are retreads and are about 90% and all hold air.
