Up for your consideration is this beautiful piece of American History. This is a vintage John Deere Farm Tractor Series 40-U, manufactured in 1955. This was my recently deceased father’s pride and joy. He used to ride my boys around on the tractor when they were young and as they grew up and got older they learned to drive it themselves. At my father’s passing, he willed it to my oldest son. My son was making it his mission to restore this tractor to it’s glory days, however, as luck would have it, he fell in love with a lovely young lady in England and will be moving over there very soon to be married. He invested quite a bit into his restoration by doing the following. Two brand new rear tires size: 18-4 x 26. This tractor starts right up every time and runs great. It could be fully restored with very little effort. It has a working three point hitch, a good NAPA battery and a new sticker package. This is a great addition to your vintage tractor collection. I ran this unit, it for runs great, easy to drive. Built like a tank. I was told the unit went into service in 2002. The tractor was built 1998 – 2002. Tractor is rough all over sheet metal. Be a good tractor to use in the deer woods or hunting camp. Runs and works and is cheap cheap price. No turn downs for it looking rough!!!
