The WC-Pro Chipper is our latest version of a design that goes back to 1997 when our first WC series chipper was offered. The Pro is our latest version. We call it Pro because it offers several new features that improve on an already great design and make it more suitable for the home owner with a subcompact or compact tractor. We have redesigned the flywheel housing to allow full access with the removal of one bolt. We have added feed guides on each side of the power feed roller to improve the feeding of small diameter material and to reduce small material from catching on the sides of the roller. We have added material Feed Edge guides to the roller for the same reason. We have reduced the rotor mass to 137 lbs so less powerful tractors can power the flywheel and have the advantages of a proven power feed design. We have made the pressure on the feed roller adjustable. We have redesigned the stand to include an adjustable base that lowers the chipper. These and many other small changes, like adding a grease point to the the roller feed bar and set screws on the feed roller drive shaft make this WC series chipper “The Pro”. Wood Chipper 4 Material (BX42). Rotor At the heart of the BX Chipper is an oversize Heavy Duty Rotor with reversible chipping blades. The large diameter rotor has a faster tip speed for improved chipping action and the heavy gauge steel keeps your momentum to power through the tuff stuff. Blades The reversible blades are precision cut high grade hardened tool steel. Hardening increase performance and extends life of the cutting edge, maximizing the performance of the chipper. Air Vents Blowing force is maximized with air intake vents on the side of the chipper. Air enters through the vents and powers the chips out the chute up to 20 feet. Twig Breaker Blower Paddles Behind the blades are blower paddles with intergrated twig breakers designed for greater output force and smaller chips exiting the machine. This provides more consistent chip size and allows you to propel the chips further. Adjustable Chute Easily control where you want the chips with the double adjustable exit chute.
