1961 Ford 801 Powermaster Tractor with loader and PTO drive, 2WD
Everything works on this tractor. I’ve included a link to a video to demonstrate the tractor’s abilities so you can see it in action. Cutting grass and loading manure in a spreader. I’ve used it over the years to haul manure, dig a craw space for a house, pull out posts, cut grass. And just about anything else you can imagine.
And it has never left the farm. The tractor has had regular maintenance over the years and is in great shape. The back wheels are weighted, which really helps the loader dig – even with two wheel drive, this tractor doesn’t give much. Suggests the weight of the ford 801 series is around 3500 lbs. The loader and wheel weights add around another 1000 – 1500 lbs.
The tractor engine is the 172 cu. In ford 4 cylinder engine and the specs in the manual say the. I’ve also installed a brand new steering wheel. This tractor also has power steering and a 5-speed transmission. A maintenance manual and an owner’s manual, which i bought a few years back and paid over $200 for them but they go with the tractor. The pto works and the 3-point hitch lowers and raises (all-hydraulic). The cylinders for the loader leak some oil when the tractor sits in the barn but not bad enough that i ever considered rebuilding them. If you don’t mind the oil leak then you probably won’t rebuild the cylinders either because they work just fine the way they are. The tractor is in excellent shape for a 1961 that has never been repainted.
