1938 john deere l serial number 625047, in 1938 was the first year of the styled l the serial numbers began at 625000 so this is one of the first 50 built could be onbe of the earliest styled l’s left around, it has a good tag, the tractor runs good, does not smoke and has good oil pressure, the clutch, transmission and brakes all work good, steering is good i didn ot see any breaks or welds on tractor, it is running in the photos, it always starts right up i do have the original hand crank that goes with it, it will usually fire in a crank or two, but one day i did have to pull it i think i had it flooded, other than that it always hand starts right up, it has a good drawbar, the front hub caps are there, the sheetmetal is solid and very nice there are a few dings but solid and nice the paint is nice not new it is a older repaint, the front tires are good, the rear tries are 7.50/22 firestones, the rear rims are good and solid, this is a very nice tractor not a show tractor, runs and drives very good, wouldnt take much to make it a show tractor, ready for parades or tractor rides.The item “1938 John Deere L Antique Tractor NO RESERVE New Tires Runs Great A B D G M H LA” is in sale since Friday, April 24, 2015.
