A man called me yesterday about this tractor. ” “What’s wrong with it?? There is always something “wrong” with a 45 year old tractor compared to a new one. I will give an itemized list below of every defect I know of down the page. That being said, This is a good old tractor. It is simply a basic – plain utility tractor. This 2000 starts and runs good and is ready to go to work. No excessive smoke or blowby. _ engages and disengages correctly and does not slip. 3-point lift is strong and operates well. Brakes work – no parking brake. Handles like it should. New radiator (relatively new) it didn’t put this on. But, You can tell it is quite new. Better remind me of this. Sometimes I borrow one from a machine if I need it. Very good rear tires. << oil drips at pto lever. << tachometer does not work (because previous owner replaced the generator, which is where the tach is driven from on this model tractor, with an alternator) Therefore, no place to install the tach drive cable. << starter sounds slow and draggy. But, has never failed to engage or start the engine. << seat cushion has hole in it that will get Your butt wet. That sums it up. We have checked this unit out and made sure all the mechanical functions work as they should. Unit has been through our shop and they have checked operations of the unit and also made sure the fluids are at proper levels. We tested this unit for 20-30 mins to make sure it operates as it should under a load. We strongly advise talking to all serious customers to describe machine in further detail. This also helps to assure that you are getting what you are expecting. On items that have gotten to our facility we will provide 9-12 pictures of all our items. This is a nice little tractor that runs good, it would be great for any collection or use it in parades, I do not have a starting crank for it, I just pull it about 3 feet and it is running. Up for your consideration is a Farmall 560 gas tractor with a wide front end. The tractor starts right up and runs perfect, rebuilt by previous farmer 5 years ago, good rear rubber, rebuilt carb, fresh tune up and new right rear wheel. Please view the video below to see it start up. We did try the T/A out and it works perfect, just as it should. Only issue we found is a whine in the hydraulics even though the power steering works good. All around a very nice tractor with a fast hitch that comes with the fast hitch drawbar. Shows 4xxx hours on meter. If you do not pay the deposit after two weeks a case will be opened against you on the item. Please understand this is used equipment, I give it a quick look over before posting, but do not have time to hook every piece of equipment up and run it. 1938 John Deere unstyled b serial number 51278. This tractor has been professionally restored and completely redone it is better than new, the paint is as nice as you will find and it is like a new car finish, has vinyl cut decals, the rear tires are 9.5/36 Firestones and new, the front rtires are new as well, the tractor has FACTORY FLAT SPOKE rear rims in excellent condition, Factory front ROUND SPOKES HC 176 and in excellent condition, the clutch pad is new it has new guages that do work, the shutter is complete and works, three way fuel valve taken off cleaned to like new and put back on, the clutch, transmission and brakes work very good, the PTO works, has a good drawbar, the transmission is good and quiet, steering is tight no wobble at all, sheetmetal is excellent, the carburetor is the correct DLTX #10 with a WICO magneto, engine runs excellent no smoke always starts and runs excellent. This tractor has been redone completely from top to bottom, it is better than new, runs and drives excellent, ready for parades, shows or for your collection, needs nothing.
