1938 John Deere Unstyled L serial number 621711 this tractor is in excellent condition, it starts in one or two cranks runs and drives excellent the front end is good with no wobble, the steering is good, the clutch brakes and transmission are good, the serial number tag is original and in very good condition, the radiator is excellent hood and all wheetmetal is in very good conditon, the rims are good and solid, has the original drawbar hitch engine has correct NXA Block with a rebuilt Magneto and the correct TCX #12 carburetor, has a very good belt pulley, still has the originial drawbar, the oil pressure is good and it does not smoke, the rear tires are 7.50/22 at 90% older tires but very good, the fenders are very nice and solid, the tractor runs and drives very nice, it always starts in a crank or two, it has all the original and correct parts very hard to find like this. Paint is very nice not a new car paint finish but very nice, it is ready for the parades or shows hard to find like this. The 955 John Deere compact tractor was one of Deere’s best offerings of all time! These are legendary tractors for performance and durability and have long been out of production. This tractor is a 1998 and has only 606 hours, making it perhaps one of the lowest hour examples of this model left! 33hp Yanmar diesel engine 27 pto hp. Hydrostatic transmission, 4wd, power steering and a Deere loader. Tractor has mid and rear pto’s Everything is original, no touch up. Tractor has turf tires, front are 80% and rears are 60% tread remaining. There is a small fuel leak from an old return hose, a couple of small tears in the original seat, some paint fade, and a small amount of slack in the frontend. Everything works except the lights. Starts, runs and works great! I would suggest an oils and filters service, but even the motor oil isn’t filthy, indicating this machine has been serviced and not neglected. Dealer for 38 years!
