Up for your consideration is my Barn Stored 1985 Yanmar 240D Tractor. 24 hp 3PT W/PTO & Draw Bars fully serviceable & working. Front Loader works fine but I did notice this afternoon, 6/6/16 that it dripped a few times at the control valve assembly. (Called the JD service department this afternoon in McDonough County, Illinois and they told me that it sounds like it possibly may need a new seal kit that amounted to some O-rings needing replaced) but it is working fine. Brand new tires on the front, rear tires are in near new condition. Brand New Hitachi Alternator w/Internal Regulator Originally updated approx. 12 years ago, Newly replaced lower radiator hose and 1 season on the battery The Starter has recently begun to miss engage and quick spins once in a while but engages the very next try and starts right up on time every time. I noticed doing that over last winter one morning. I did inspect the Flywheel and it is perfect no marks or contact grinding, JD service also just told me that it sounds like the starter bendix is weak, JD cost on an abendix is approx. There 18″ Hydraulic hoses on the front loader that have been replaced from time to time but there are about 4-6 18″ hoses that will need to be replaced in a year or 2, (My opinion). There 1071 hrs on her and she just runs like new, seriously. Tractor is 4 wheel drive lock in lock out at the seat. Transmission is manual with 6 forward and 2 speed reversed and it has that micro granny gear, very powerful. I store it in the barn and keep her covered with a tarp, (barn swallows make a mess) I even go so far as to wash it and wipe it down after uses. Cleaning your equipment is the best time to inspect your equipment. The loader bucket is not thee original 4′ bucket. The original bucket of all things was stolen right off the tractor at a hotel while the tractor was on my trailer, Lesson: never back in your tractor on a trailer, I never have since. A good friend had this 5 ft bucket off of a 550 JD and let me have it. He has Hogs and from the pics you can see heavy corrosion through the underside outer layer. Even thought the bucket is heavily worn and beat up, It still has done what I need it to do and that’s that. Also comes with Heavy Duty Brush Guard black in color (mounts with quick pins). See pics for further description of tractor and the 3 extra attatchments. This is a Used Tractor and even though she runs great works great like all private sales there are no warranties with this sale My Yanmar is listed as-is as-seen. The Doc can step outside for a minute or two. If I don’t answer please leave a message and I will Sincerely get right back to you Quickly. I can Only Drive the tractor onto a low trailer.
