Restored Ford 8N Tractor
Fresh out of the shop, late model, side distributor Ford 8N. The serial # is not legible on the block, so I’m not sure of the exact year it is. It was stripped to a bare chassis (pictured), and refinished with Advantage, urethane enamel, and shiny, Nason, acrylic enamel on the sheet metal and wheels. I have photos of the entire rebuild. Kit w/ wiring harness, internal resistor coil and battery. I have also eliminated the messy old oil bath air cleaner and replaced it with a nicely converted, trouble free K&N dry unit (pictured). The radiator was also cleaned and tested at the local repair shop. It rides and drives great… Clutch, steering, brakes, pto and hydraulics all work fine. Other new items include… Headlights, chrome bezel oil and amp lighted gauges, tachometer and cable, muffler, a nice stitched padded seat cover mmmm, comfy! … Lol, gas tank, sediment bowl and more, ugh! This has been a winter hobby project, and I’ve repaired or replaced all issues that I found needed attention, and is ready to work or play at this point. It’s very highly detailed, but not perfect, I did get a little “over zealous” with my paint application, and I got a couple small runs, but they’re barely noticeable unless you’re next to the tractor, oops.
