This is a nice running John Deere M SN13881 Year 1948. New Steering Wheel, New Ignition, New Matching Tires, Good oil pressure, Older Restoration, Tight Steering. The only thing I used this tractor for was putting in gardens with the disc you see on the back. I bought it with 500 hours in 2003. I have put 700 hours on it since. Maybe I mowed with a finish mower 20 hours a year on it. Hit the key it runs great. Very reliable piece of equipment. I have one of the safety bars that engages a safety switch removed for theft prevention. If you want you can put the bar back on. This way I can leave the tractor where I please. It would take too much work to steal. Otherwise everything works great. It shows on the PTO shaft that there are no leaks around it. There are no hydraulic leaks whatsoever. Has an after market wide front, 15.5-38 rear tires. Shifting is a little loose like most old syncros, have a hard time hitting reverse. Runs good , single hydraulic, 3 point works good. What you see is what you get. Sorry I do not have the side panels for the back of the engine. Tach does not work and I will not take a guess at how many hours it actually has on it. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Recently I have noticed that the Engine oil is getting milky. It looks like someone before me has replaced the head, I have not removed the oil pan and pressurized the cooling system yet.
