1958 John Deere 730 diesel tractor. Starts runs drives good. Pony seems to run good and have no problem starting the big motor. The big motor was recently overhauled with very low hours on it per previous owner (I do not have documentation of this just what I was told). Has good oil pressure. Doesn’t seem to smoke much. Had full factory 3pt with top link. The lift links are free and so is the top link. Factory square wide front in good shape. Power steering works good. Drives in all the gears. Clutch and brakes are good. 15.5×38 rear tires are ok, nothing special. Newer front tires 7.50×16. Sheet metal good and solid a few dents but not bad. Overall a great one to enjoy or fix up!! Bad spots on this machine: there are a few drips/leaks of fuel and power steering fluid. The 3pt doesn’t seem to go up, I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or not, not a John Deere guy and not a 2cyl guy at all. The PTO seems to run all the time also. I have not looked into these problems. Drives good, a great start to a neat tractor. Not many built and even less for sale. Will store outdoors 90 days must be paid in full in 10 days.
