Here is a really special Massey Ferguson 231 diesel tractor with a bush hog brand loader. Here’s the story on this tractor. It belonged to an elderly couple that were both retired school teachers. One passed away and the other had to go to a retirement home. This tractor has only 161 hours on the clock. And, I believe they are actual. Lights and gauges work. One of the fender lights is missing. The original Massey Ferguson seat looks like new. Everything works as it should. These are some well built little tractors. Perkins diesel engine, all steel construction, No computers or sensors to fail, easy to work on, parts are plentiful and inexpensive. Absolutely a great investment. The rear tires are newer and probably have less than 100hours on them… All gauges and lights work. Brakes are very good an strong, power steering works perfect. The water pump is new, and so is the radiator. And the starter has been replaced and it has a new battery on it… The loader is set up right and works off its own joystick, so you dont operate it with the hydraulic leavers… The tractor is DEPENDABLE, and READY TO USE. It has served me very well…. Its ready to go to work. This is not a junk tractor that has been run thru the auctions, and painted up to look good, and flip…. The paint is all original on the tractor. The seat is also original and has a small tear in it… So I need the cash ASAP….. I hate to price it this low bc I know when I need to get another one, I’ll never find one this nice, for this price. Massey Ferguson tractor model MF20 made in 1969. The engine is a 3 cyl gas Perkins rated at 38hp. This model is very similar to the MF135 and many of the parts are interchangeable. Tractor was restored and repainted in 2006, and has been used to pull a 90 finish mower. Sheetmetal was stripped down to bare metal and repainted, and many other parts replaced. Tires are in good condition and the rears are fluid filled. Tractor has not been run in a year and doesn’t want to start now, unsure if it’s a fuel or electrical issue. The engine turns over freely and has good oil pressure. The power steering system was not working when it was last used. This is the LCG (low center of gravity) model made for mowing on steep hillsides. The rear end is very wide (92 outside) and will require a wide trailer to haul it.
