Not sure on the model as the ID tag is missing i believe it is a VI model but could just be a V model , i received the tractor in pieces i have assembled it enough to start and run, but needs cooling and charging systems redone, radiator is missing although i have one from a VAC model that could perhaps be modified to work, tires are dry rotted but good tread , again needs complete restoration or for parts. I hate to part with my great John Deere 3020 Diesel however I no longer have use for it so I’m listing it for sale. I’ve had it for years and have taken proper care of it. My buddy I bought it from had it for 30+ years or so before me. 7153 actual hours and the engine was rebuilt by John Deere in Billings in April of 1986 with 5666.0 hours on it (So it only has 1,487 hours on it since the rebuild). Injection pump was changed in March 2005. New Starter in October 2017. (2) New Batteries 2016. SCV coupler and one of the lift rams just rebuilt last week by John Deere in Missoula. Tractor inspected by John Deere and verified in excellent running/ operating shape. It has an oil heater which works great. Even in the coldest Montana temperatures just plug it in for 20-30 minutes and it starts every time. The forks are constructed in an incredibly strong fashion and I upgraded the crossbar to a really heavy piece of hard steel so it won’t bend. This is a very effective fork system. I have full service records since the rebuild and it was professionally painted 3 years ago- still in great shape – but it was used since then so it’s not in showroom condition. Is it nice enough to drive in a parade? I certainly think so. All current service has been performed and it is ready for any kind of work you have for it. Considering the hours on the machine since the engine rebuild it seems to me and to every other farmer in the area who has looked at it that it has full power. Comes with a few extra air filters, a few other filters, a second used set of tractor tires, and an original service and operators manual. The item “John Deere 3020 Diesel With Loader in great shape. It has 5217 engine hours and is correct. All the gauges work (gas, amp, tach, mph and oil pressure). Gas engine runs excellent and transmission is quiet in all gears, even the hydra-shift works as it should. Steering is tight and does not wonder when on road. 3 point is strong and has 2 aux. Outlets for pull type equipment. Olivers were known for having excellent independent PTOs, this tractor is no exception. Tires are good with 18.4×34 on rear and good ribbed tires on front(12.50s). The fender tanks would need to be cleaned out. The set back front axle makes this very collectable and different than most. I have owners manual and original top link. Feel free to look at tractor. New owner on 8th day. Serial 69043 i think 1953 look at plate judge for yourself. Tires all hold air and have tread still some cracking but still usable no leaks no rim rot or rust. No welds on frame or motor that i see.

I open fuel up full it usually starts fine but then have to almost close it completely for it to run normal. Does leak oil by front of motor it drips down onto front tires. Not sure where it coming from sometimes more then others. The gear selector pin is out so it wobbles looks like pin just needs put back in. This tractor metal and sheet metal is all in nice shape and looks complete.

It does run and operate. And everybody expectation s are different. Does smoke i used tractor for two hours total and i don’t like tricycle front on hills.

And my 12 year old wants to drive and bush hog so i have found another one with wide front. I will assist in any way i can.

Doesn’t give you the right to tire kick and see if you want it or not. Please come look at it first or ask questions. Again sometimes pain to start other times first or second rotation. Leaks little oil up front. Located in hanover pa 17331.
