I bought this tractor on govdeals from a county government in Deleware. It’s a low hour machine. All 4 tires are brand new and only have a few hours on them. The battery is only a few months old (napa). The tractor had engine problems and had to be rebuilt – you can read about it in the next paragraph. The tractor starts very easy and everything works. The loader is very strong. It also comes with service records and a set of New Holland factory manuals in a 3 ring binder – the good manuals. They gave me the service records & you can see that they changed the head gasket and put 3 new injectors on it when they installed the head. I trailered it home and pulled the engine. I sent it to a local machine shop and they found that electrolysis ate a pin hole right through the #2 cylinder wall. The machine shop told me this was fairly common. Instead of having 1 sleeve. I chose to sleeve all 3 cylinders. They also polished the crankshaft. Since the head had just been done (according to the service records), the machine shop did a. Test and found that the head was good & did nothing more. I put it back together with new piston rings, gaskets, new standard main and connecting rod bearings. I thought this was going to be the perfect machine for me & would allow me to sell my wheel loader and my other farm tractor, but it’s not big enough for the big jobs and not maneuverable enough to brush hog on our property (lots of obstacles).
