1956 John Deere 70 Diesel Standard Antique Tractor NO RESERVE Rare Rockshaft
1956 john deere 70 standard diesel tractor serial number 7036848, this tractor came froma dry western climate, the sheetmetal is solid, the hood is near perfect, grill has a few dings one of the fenders is very good the other has a dent on bottom corner, battery box is good and has one john deere step on rear, very restorable and solid metal the fenders are not rusted on the inside by the brackets, this tractor was a pony start but has been converted to 12 volt electric start, it always fires right up, the original tach works and reads 7843 hours, oil pressure is good and high, engine does not smoke, there is a little rattle coming from valve cover but runs good, the rear rims are good and solid, rear tires are 18.4/30 at90% older tires few cracks and will last fro many years, front tires are 90% and in good condition, tractor has hyds, good working live pto, and also comes with a rare rockshaft so you could put a three point on it if you desire, not many of these had this option, the clutch and transmission work good, has hi/lo and it works good, the brakes do work the left works great the right works about 50%, it has power steering it can be a bit sluggish, it seems to have a power steering leak, not a bad leak as it wont leave a puddle minor leak but does have a drip.
