Up for consideration a Allis Chalmers D17. Great tractor for hay making, bush hog, finish mowing, silage, etc. Tractor starts and runs well no smoke. All new gages except traction boost. 54 hp 4 Cly. Snap Coupler, normal hitch. New plugs, plug wires, reset points. Anti freeze, Oil change and filter. Rear Tires 14.9 x 28 are in excellent condition with plenty of tread. Rear rims have had some repair around valve core. Front tires are in fair condition. All gears work fine. Hand clutch works as it should. Sheet metal is in good condition except rear fenders have been repaired but are still sturdy. Front right side panel has been bent but hardly noticable. Look at the pictures and ask questions. By mistake there is one picture from another tractor, please disrgard. Price is always negotiable. I prefer cash at pick-up. My farm is easy to find, just off a major highway. Plenty of room to turn around and load. There are no warranties or guarantees implied, as is. This particular tractor came on trade. It had been painted few years back by the previous owner and looked OK but they painted everything orange. I do not like to see that so I removed the starter, altenator, front grill, distributer and repainted them black and cream accordingly. None of the gauges worked so I replaced them all except the traction boost. I fixed the dash light and installed a new switch and fuse holder. I repaired the rims and repainted them also. D17’s are a very strong tractor that can handle rough terrain. Has the power to do almost anything. Parts are readily available thru your AGCO dealer and many aftermarket dealers. I assure you if you do regular maintenance and keep the tractor sheded it will look and perform as it should for the next 20 to 30 years. I own and use D17’s for everything. I prefer to mow my yard with a D17 over a John Deere. If you already own a Allis D17, D15, 170, 175, 180, or 185 I may be interested in a trade plus cash depending on the condition of your tractor. This 1987 Case IH 885 is a good tight tractor. It has dual hydraulic outlets. And dual pto shafts. (540 and 1000 rpm). The tires are very good. Especially the rear ones. The tractor starts easy like You would expect it to. It runs and sounds fantastic. Steers, shifts and handles great. The left brake pedal loses its prime after sitting a day or so. You have to pump both pedals at the same time and then the left. This re-primes it and it holds well. Parking brake works well. Shift linkage is smooth and precise. With only 2900 hours, this 79 horsepower tractor will make You a very affordable very nice utility farm tractor.
