The tractor was running 5 years ago when the injector pump went bad. It was pulled off to get sent off to be rebuilt. I have the injector pump and it is included with the tractor. The motor turns over and has good compression. The tractor was in good running shape when the pump went bad. The pump will still need to be rebuilt before it gets put back on the tractor. Other then that the tractor should be good to go. The tin work is in good shape. The grille has some rust spots in it form being taken off and laying in the shed floor for 30 years. The rims are all in good shape and so are the tires. They have good tread. The tractor has dual hydraulics and a 3 point hitch. Here is a nice little trade in I got. This tractor runs really well. It doesn’t smoke and holds strong oil pressure. This one has a healthy engine. The gears and clutch are good. No growls or whining. The lift and the pto work well also. The tires are fair. But, ok for an old tractor. The right rear is the best. This would be perfect to hook a 5′ bush hog to. Or small disk or turning plow. These are good little tractors that have been around a long time and are still in use today. Easy to work on and will stand up to a lot of hard work. It is always a good idea to turn the gas off at the tank on these tractors. Or, gas is subject to leak through the carburetor and Your tank will be empty the next time You go to the shed to get it. The tractor starts up and runs out. It usually takes a small amount of ether to fire when it’s cold. But the grid heater isn’t hooked up. The transmission shifts through all of the gears as It should. The clutch was just replaced and it works like it should. The brakes will need some work. The tractor has a 3 point hitch which is very uncommon on a d21. It is the series 2 turbo charged model. The motor sounds good and seams to have good power. The fenders are in good shape. 1957 John Deere 720 Standard Diesel Tractor serial number 7205088, this tractor starts runs and drives very good, it has a pony engine that runs good smaokes a little but the big engine fires up instantly and runs excellent no smoke and very good oil pressure, the tractor has power steering that works very good, you can steer it with one finger, the clutch, brakes, PTO, Hydraulics and transmission all work very good, has a float ride seat, the front rims are JD 1276R, the rear rims are good and solid, the rear tires are 18.4/30 at 505 tread older with a few cracks but will lst for many years, the shetmetal is verynice and solid you can find a few dings but it is nice, the rear fenders are good and solid, has a tach. But it is not working it reads 3388 hours, has a good brawbar hitch, the paint is very nice not a show tractor but nice it will turn a lot of heads, this tractor can be put right to work or added to your collection, starts runs and drives very nice.
