The tractor runs and drives pretty good. The previous owners had bought this tractor for a restoration project at the time first gear was bad and they replaced first gear set. After assembly it was found that 2nd gear would not engage. I bought the tractor in this condition. I removed the transmission shift cover and a local AC mechanic verified that 2nd gear was installed backwards so the shift collar will not engage. 2nd gear was fine before the disassembly to fix first gear. 1st 3rd and 4th gears all work and shift correctly as well as the 2 speed range box with no noises or jumping out of gear. I have too many projects and don’t have time to pursue this one. I have a few other allis tractors I will be listing in the upcoming weeks also. So check back if you may be interested.
