This listing is for a 2001 John Deere 4500 4×4 Compact Tractor Loader Backhoe. This tractor was a trade-in from a golf course to our local John Deere dealer. It fires right up, runs strong and does not smoke. The machine is very tight overall and does not appear to have any unusual wear anywhere on the machine. There are no oil drips and the backhoe pins have very little to no play in them. The digital hour meter does not work which is very common on Deere compacts of this generation. Estimated hours from the golf course that traded it in are less than 2000 and that appears to be very accurate based on wear. The only other thing I noticed that does not work is the fuel gauge and warning lights. Overall this is very tight machine and it is ready to go to work.
