The tractor was running 5 years ago when the injector pump went bad. It was pulled off to get sent off to be rebuilt. I have the injector pump and it is included with the tractor. The motor turns over and has good compression. The tractor was in good running shape when the pump went bad. The pump will still need to be rebuilt before it gets put back on the tractor. Other then that the tractor should be good to go. The tin work is in good shape. The grille has some rust spots in it form being taken off and laying in the shed floor for 30 years. The rims are all in good shape and so are the tires. They have good tread. The tractor has dual hydraulics and a 3 point hitch. The tractor starts up and runs out. It usually takes a small amount of ether to fire when it’s cold. But the grid heater isn’t hooked up. The transmission shifts through all of the gears as It should. The clutch was just replaced and it works like it should. The brakes will need some work. The tractor has a 3 point hitch which is very uncommon on a d21. It is the series 2 turbo charged model. The motor sounds good and seams to have good power. The fenders are in good shape. 1957 John Deere 720 Standard Diesel Tractor serial number 7205088, this tractor starts runs and drives very good, it has a pony engine that runs good smaokes a little but the big engine fires up instantly and runs excellent no smoke and very good oil pressure, the tractor has power steering that works very good, you can steer it with one finger, the clutch, brakes, PTO, Hydraulics and transmission all work very good, has a float ride seat, the front rims are JD 1276R, the rear rims are good and solid, the rear tires are 18.4/30 at 505 tread older with a few cracks but will lst for many years, the shetmetal is verynice and solid you can find a few dings but it is nice, the rear fenders are good and solid, has a tach. But it is not working it reads 3388 hours, has a good brawbar hitch, the paint is very nice not a show tractor but nice it will turn a lot of heads, this tractor can be put right to work or added to your collection, starts runs and drives very nice. Up for consideration a Allis Chalmers D17. Great tractor for hay making, bush hog, finish mowing, silage, etc. Tractor starts and runs well no smoke. All new gages except traction boost. 54 hp 4 Cly. Snap Coupler, normal hitch. New plugs, plug wires, reset points. Anti freeze, Oil change and filter. Rear Tires 14.9 x 28 are in excellent condition with plenty of tread. Rear rims have had some repair around valve core. Front tires are in fair condition. All gears work fine. Hand clutch works as it should. Sheet metal is in good condition except rear fenders have been repaired but are still sturdy. Front right side panel has been bent but hardly noticable. Look at the pictures and ask questions. By mistake there is one picture from another tractor, please disrgard. Price is always negotiable. I prefer cash at pick-up. My farm is easy to find, just off a major highway. Plenty of room to turn around and load. There are no warranties or guarantees implied, as is. This particular tractor came on trade. It had been painted few years back by the previous owner and looked OK but they painted everything orange. I do not like to see that so I removed the starter, altenator, front grill, distributer and repainted them black and cream accordingly. None of the gauges worked so I replaced them all except the traction boost. I fixed the dash light and installed a new switch and fuse holder. I repaired the rims and repainted them also. D17’s are a very strong tractor that can handle rough terrain. Has the power to do almost anything. Parts are readily available thru your AGCO dealer and many aftermarket dealers. I assure you if you do regular maintenance and keep the tractor sheded it will look and perform as it should for the next 20 to 30 years. I own and use D17’s for everything. I prefer to mow my yard with a D17 over a John Deere. If you already own a Allis D17, D15, 170, 175, 180, or 185 I may be interested in a trade plus cash depending on the condition of your tractor.
