John Deere 2440 60PTO Hp. Diesel 2 wheel drive tractor with full power reverser forward to reverse with no clutching! There are foot and hand throttles. This German made tractor was among Deere’s finest series ever created! This tractor has 4428 hours and runs and works perfectly with no leaks. It is a 1981 by serial number. I loaned it to a neighbor who had a skid steer go down for 3 weeks and he says other than 1 slightly loose tie rod end, he could not fault the tractor. He installed a new seat before returning it! Tractor is equipped with a later model, near new 542 Deere quick tach self leveling loader with a quick attach heavy duty bucket. The loader is plumbed properly to the tractor and is FAST! NO, I will not sell the loader off the tractor. There are 2 sets of rear remotes. Rear tires almost new, fronts tires are one fair and one very good. Tractor has had good service as the oils look clean, etc. But I would recommend an oils and filters service as I do not know when the last service was done, but it doesn’t look like it was too long ago.
