1948 John Deere A serial number 596003, this tractor starts runs and drives very good, it does not smoke has good oil pressure and is running in the photos, carburetor has been rebuilt, it is 12 volt and the charging system does work, it is a long hood and has all the battery shields, has all three lights with original brackets do not work but are in good condition, also has the flywheel guard, and a set of original fenders, the clutch, brakes and PTO all work very good, it has a good 6 speed transmission, it is a 3 speed with HI/LO giving it 6 forward speeds and reverse, the sheetmetal is solid with some dings, the rims are good ans solid, the rear tires are 15.5/38 at 30% older tiresd with some cracks will last for many years. This is a very nice complete tractor runs and drives good you can take this home and put it to work or it will make a great restoration project.
