It was just replaced about a month ago with a new tractor because of age, not replaced because of any issues or problems! The tractor has always been stored in or under an equipment barn/shed, unless in the field working and left out a night or two, has been maintained by the book since day #1, small research center with only a few employees and a few pieces of equipment, they stay right on top of maintenance and servicing. The unit was submerged into the pond while running and went to the bottom which was about 4-5 feet deep. It was submerged only for a few minutes and the owner, who was watching his son when it happened, immediately removed the battery cable from the battery when it happened. After purchasing we spent hours/days checking and lubricating every electrical connection, drained fuels/oils and flushed with new several times, replaced the fuel, drained and dried everything we could find that could have possibly got water in or on it, charged the battery, replaced all filters and cranked the tractor up! After cranking let it run for well over 2 hours, rechecked all fluids, connections, etc. And nothing has any sign of water or water damage, all functions of the tractor work properly. It has original (new) paint, tires, hoses, electronics and all components, the only thing we changed were filters and fuels/oils! The tractor is as close to new as you will find, has less than 50 hours on it and looks brand new! Please take a look at photo link #5 which shows the tractor and exactly what it looked like a few days after the accident happened after it was pulled out of the pond, you can see the plastic was still on the seat when it happened. We are guessing that either the bushog cutter, which was engaged at the time killed the engine when it went in the water or the air breather inlet was choked down when it went under water! As stated all functions work properly, tractor is very nice and you would have no way of knowing it ran off into a pond without us telling you. It does have a small bent spot in the cover guard above the PTO and has a few scratches around the drawbar/PTO where it has bumped into the bushog being connected, other than that it is in almost new condition. Working as they would new and to have no sign of water inside or in any internal area, fluids, etc, other than that it as-is where-is.
