Pasquali 986 articulating 4×4 diesel tractor. If you arent familiar with this company or tractor, a quick Google search will fill you in. These tractors were designed for the hilly vineyards in Italy and are real compact work horses. The company is still in business today and parts are available. This tractor can traverse incredible inclines both vertically and laterally with both axels moving independently. A previous owner who built “pulling tractors”, did the restoration and it looks as good in person as the photos. The clock shows approx. 250 hrs but I was told it could be off by as much as 50 hrs since the engagement coupler on the tack shaft came lose and is now missing. I will include if I can obtain one before sale. Other than the tach cable, everything works and functions properly. This unit also has a synchro lever under the seat which allows the PTO speed to match the gear speed of the tractor if the 540 and 720 ranges are not suitable. The power steering makes turning effortless and can literally be done with one finger. The motor is a LDA100 Lombardini which is an 18 hp diesel. Included is a full specification and operators manual, a full service manual and parts manual all in English. The tractor was originally bought new in Wisconsin from an authorized Pasquali dealer and has the US PTO set up. The tires show little wear but do have some minor cracking and the seat has some wear but is still soft and very comfortable. The tractor has a foot pedal brake as well as an independent lever activated parking brake, both of which work as they should. I do not have the two lower arms for the 3 point set up but the standard 7/8 pivot pins are in place and all of the hydraulics work properly. The tractor weighs 1700 lbs. 1957 John Deere 420W. Located in Central New Jersey 07753. 1958 John Deere 420 Lot # 26 – YouTube. This 1957 John Deere 420W tractor is a row-crop utility variant that is powered by a 1.9L 2-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with a 540-rpm power takeoff. The exterior is finished in green with a yellow stripe across the hood and down the sides of the grille, a paint scheme which was adopted for the second phase of 420 production in 1957. A repaint has been carried out, and closeups of the finish are provided in the photo gallery below. Yellow-painted wheels measure 12×28 out back and 6×16 up front, and a wide adjustable axle is equipped up front. Lights were an option on 420-series tractors and are present front and rear on this example. The operators position features a cushioned bench seat with optional yellow vinyl upholstery and a vertical steering wheel. A new shift knob was installed in 2014. Instrumentation includes a combination speedometer and tachometer, as well as a water temperature gauge and ammeter. The hour meter shows just over 2,900 hours, less than five of which have been accumulated during the tractors time in the current owners collection. The 1.9-liter Johnny Popper 2-cylinder gasoline engine is liquid-cooled with an oil-bath air cleaner. Factory horsepower ratings were 26.2 at the drawbar and 28.3 at the belt. The gearbox offers five forward speeds as well as a reverse, and equipment out back includes a 540-rpm power takeoff and a 3-point hitch. A Dual Touch-O-Matic hydraulic system was standard, and the pump was rebuilt in 2013 along with the brake system. Maintenance in 2019 included replacing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and ignition coil. The points were also cleaned, and fresh premium fuel was added. The owner personally tore this machine down painted it, installed a brand new oem kohler engine, and reassembled it with new parts as needed. This is as close to a new machine as you will probably find. Hour meter is showing 19.5 hours on it since restoration but 19 of those were because the key was left on. This machine literally has almost no hours. Check out the pictures, they speak for themselves. There are two spots where the paint has imperfections.
