1974 SATOH S650G 25 H. GAS BACKHOE LOADER COMPACT TRACTOR WITH POWER STEERING & ADJUSTABLE FORK LIFT ATTACHMENT BACKHOE DIGGING BUCKET IS 16 & LOADER. IS 51″WIDE X 17″ DEPTH. PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE PURCHASING AND MAKE SURE YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND OR FEEL FREE TO ASK ME IF YOU DO NOT! THIS IS A REALLY GREAT TRACTOR AND FINDING THESE COMPACT TRACTORS ARE HARD TO FIND & IF YOUR MECHANICALLY INCLINED YOU WILL HAVE A REAL NICE MACHINE THAT NEEDS VERY LITTLE TINKERING. I REALLY HATE TO EVEN SELL IT, BUT I HAVE WAY TO MANY MORE IMPORTANT THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST RIGHT NOW. THIS TRACTOR ONLY HAD A COUPLE OWNERS, AND IS ONLY AT 200 HRS. HE RELOCATED TO FLORIDA, AND HAD NO NEED FOR IT AS HE BOUGHT A CONDO. HE ALWAYS KEPT IT IN HIS BARN AND THEN HAD TO PARK IT OUTSIDE BECAUSE THEY HAD TO KEEP MANY HOUSEHOLD ITEMS IN THE BARN WHILE THEY WERE HAVING THEIR HOUSE PREPARED TO SELL. HE DID HAVE IT COVERED IT IN A TARP FOR APPROX. 6 MONTHS AND SAID IT ALWAYS RAN GREAT AND NEVER GAVE HIM ANY TROUBLE UNTIL HE CAME BACK TO OHIO AND THEN NOTICED THE IDLE WAS CREEPING UP ON IT. SO, I DID LOOK IT OVER AND COULD TELL THE GOVERNOR LINKAGE WAS STICKING ON IT AND I COULD MANUALLY GET THE IDLE TO LOWER, SO AFTER I BROUGHT IT HOME AND CHECKED INTO IT FURTHER AND CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL IN THE GOVERNOR, I COULD SEE IT HAD WATER/OIL MIX IN IT, SO I FLUSHED IT OUT AND PUT NEW OIL IN IT AND IT WAS STILL STICKING, SO I CALLED BILL AT VALLEY POWER WHO SELLS EVERYTHING FOR THESE AND WAS VERY FAMILIAR WITH THIS ISSUE AS HE SAID NOBODY EVER CHECKS OR SERVICES THE GOVERNOR OIL AND ITS VERY COMMON FOR THEM TO HAVE CONDENSATION IN THEM. HE TOLD ME THAT THE FLY WEIGHTS ARE STICKING IN IT AND THAT IS WHAT CAUSES THE RISING IDLE, SO I ASKED HIM IF I RAN DIESEL FUEL IN IT, IF THEY WOULD FREE UP, AND HE SAID HE WOULD TRY IT AND I MAY GET LUCKY, BUT IT DIDN’T CURE THE PROBLEM. HE IS A VERY NICE OLD SCHOOL GUY AND EVEN TOLD ME HOW TO TAKE IT APART TO CLEAN & POLISH THE SHAFT & SERVICE IT AND HE SELLS THE SEALS & BEARINGS IF IT NEEDS THEM. IT DOES COME WITH THE ORIGINAL REPAIR MANUAL, AND I CURRENTLY BOUGHT MOST OF THE PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE THINGS FOR IT, LIKE OIL FILTERS, A DIST. CAP, ROTOR, POINTS, PLUGS, CARB KIT, ETC. I EVEN REPLACED THE SHIFTER BOOT. BUT THE CARBURETOR SHOULD BE FINE AS IT DOES NOT APEAR TO HAVE ANY ISSUES, SO WITH ALL THIS SAID, ALL I WOULD DO TO IT IS SERVICE IT AND CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION & ENGINE OIL & SERVICE / REPAIR THE GOVERNOR AND THE SEAT WILL NEED REPAIRED / WELDED BUT VERY FIXABLE AND WELL WORTH KEEPING IT AS ITS A NICE SETUP. THIS IS A TRACTOR THAT I BET YOU GET MANY YEARS OF GOOD SERVICE OUT OF IT, AND I BET YOU SHOULD HAVE LESS THAN 100.00 IN IT IF YOU CAN DO THE REPAIRS YOURSELF AS I BOUGHT NEARLY ALL OF THE THINGS IT NEEDS BESIDED THE 80/90 GEAR OIL & THE SEALS & POSSIBLE BEARINGS FOR THE GOVERNOR. 25 horse power 4 cylinder gas engine, 3 speed manual transmission with HI Low range making for 6 forward and 2 reverse speeds, category 1 three point hitch, 540 – 1000 rpm rear pto, auxiliary hydraulics that raise the 5′ front blade. Starts, runs and operates. Running in all pictures. I see no leaks or major faults. Does need a few repairs such as head lights and marker / flasher lights not working, left rear tire has some rust at valve stem (see pic), but holds air, There are no skids shoes on the front blade. Has been repainted at some time in past. Has front wheel weights and some one has added a large truck brake drum to left rear wheel to act as weight. It is bolted on and could be removed if not needed. I just changed the engine oil and filter, lubed all fittings, replaced upper and lower radiator hoses that were original, added new antifreeze, had the alternator rebuilt and converted to a one wire system that is much more dependable that the old style external voltage regulator. Over all a decent running and operating tractor that could be put right to use. If you have never heard of Satoh tractor just google it. Including the hour meter! The brakes, tires, safety switches, warning lights, PTO, 3 Point Hitch. The steering wheel has been tack welded in a few spots. The tractor has been sitting a little while and will need the carburetor cleaned however it does run and operate as it is you just have to keep the choke on a little bit and play with the throttle. The front end loader works great and is very handy around the farm/house. This tractor has an economical diesel engine that starts and runs great. Brakes, clutch , lift, pto, fel etc works fine as well. This one had the power to run a bushhog, 5 ft cutter and many three point attachments. As a blade or plow.
The front end loader works great. The diesel engine has quite a bit of power but uses very little fuel. Ok several high res pics so that you can look it over. As you can see in the high resolution pics it is not perfect but is in nice shape.
Seat, tires, body, all look good. The size of this tractor makes it handy, the diesel engine makes it powerful and economical.
The tractor has a standard transmission. I beleive it is a 1984 model. This tractor is ready to go to work. Overall the tractor is in good condition but it is not perfect.
