Up for sale is a heavy aircraft tug we have used off and on for the past 20 years. We have a few newer ones and this one sits more than it gets used. I uploaded a video demonstrating it starting, idling, and driving. The tug has a 1960’s era Pymouth industrial slant 6 gasoline 255ci engine and dual wheel rear axle. It has rear hydraulic brakes. The tug is temper mental to start here in recent years. Its reliability to start easy has made us park it and now put it up for sale. Hobbs operational hours unknown. It has had many new parts over the years to keep it going like overhauled carb, gaskets, spark plugs, fuel pump, etc. To make it easier to start I would recommend rebuilding the top end and replace the electronic ignition system. The cylinder compressions ranged from 150 – 122 psi. It has been converted from points to electronic years ago. The converted ignition system and connections are brittle and sometimes need patching. If you like to tinker with it and drive it as is you can also. My guys just rather drive one that starts easy every time. Located in Myrtle Beach sc. 1948 John Deere A serial number 596003, this tractor starts runs and drives very good, it does not smoke has good oil pressure and is running in the photos, carburetor has been rebuilt, it is 12 volt and the charging system does work, it is a long hood and has all the battery shields, has all three lights with original brackets do not work but are in good condition, also has the flywheel guard, and a set of original fenders, the clutch, brakes and PTO all work very good, it has a good 6 speed transmission, it is a 3 speed with HI/LO giving it 6 forward speeds and reverse, the sheetmetal is solid with some dings, the rims are good ans solid, the rear tires are 15.5/38 at 30% older tiresd with some cracks will last for many years. This is a very nice complete tractor runs and drives good you can take this home and put it to work or it will make a great restoration project. 1958 John Deere 420 S Slant Steer serial number 34974, this tractor starts and runs excellent, it is running in the photos, it has a 5 speed transmission the braies and clutch both work great, transmission is good, there is a tach in it it reads 32 hours tach. Is new, the motor runs excellent always starts instantly with good oil pressure and no smoke, it has a complete three point hitch with the correct and original top link, also has a complete drawbar hitch, has a nice front bumper, all the lights work including the rear red light and the dash light, all guages are good, the rims are spin outs and are in good solid condition, the rear tires are 12.4/24 at 90% tread older tires but very good condition, there are no breaks or welds on the tractor the sheetmetal is excellent the paint is older paint job that still looks nice there are a few scratches but nice, it comes with the mounted culitvators on the front and rear of tractor along with side dresser these pieces are in very good condition, also has the original and correct M1900T PTO cover, this tractor is in excellent condition i dont know of anything it needs it is complete has the cultivators and side dresser it is readyt to go to work or put in a museum it is nice and hard to find set up like this. 1958 john deere 420w slant steer with factory power steering 5 speed transmission, this tractor is in excellent original condition, it runs and drives very good, the power steering works good, it has a good working three point htich and pto, the transmission and brakes are good, clutch is good, has a good set of original fenders, one of the battery shields is original the other is new, it has been converted to 12 volt and the charging system does work, the sheetmetal is excellent, the paint is original it has never been painted, has a good set of spin out rims, the rear tires are 12.4/28 at 95% tread and like new tread is mismatched, has all three original lights with original brackets all of them do work even the rear red light works, has a tach.
