1956 John Deere 40-V Special 40V High Crop Tractor TWO! Ie 420-v 430-v 420v 430v. Here to sell are TWO (2) rarer to find 40-V Vegetable Special High Crop Tractors. &###xA0; They are consecutive number tractors and the owner would like to sell them as such. The first 40-V was fully and beautifully restored and rebuilt in 2018 from front to back: engine, transmission, final drives and more. &###xA0; New paint, all new tires. &###xA0; Front end is &###xA0;super tight like new new including tie rods, etc.. &###xA0; Completely overhauled engine with receipt. &###xA0; Top to bottom. &###xA0; Hydraulic unit was taken apart and restored with all new parts too. &###xA0; 1956 Serial # 60013. The other 40V does run. &###xA0; Front tires hold air and the rears are probably 98% and very good as shown. &###xA0; Has new radiator bushings. &###xA0; It is 6 volt and was rewired and is charging good. &###xA0; Oil pressure is perfect at high. &###xA0; Serial #60012&###xA0; Clean gas tank. &###xA0; Has new PTO shaft with it. &###xA0; They had a higher ground clearance than most other tractors in the 40 line. The serial number plate on these tractors state “40-V”. &###xA0; This tractor was a one row tractor&###xA0; used in farming bushy crops like tomatoes. &###xA0; With only 329 units built, it’s the second lowest produced 40. &###xA0; Production on the 40V began in October of 1954 for the 1955 model year, with serial # 60001 and continued until October of 1955 ending with #60329. &###x200B;&###x200B;&###x200B;&###x200B;&###x200B;&###x200B;&##x200B. He had not used it in 2 years so i went through the carb and the tank was empty so it looked good. I switched ti to 12 volt and i put the pertronic electronic ignition on it and it fires up and runs great. The tranny brakes and all other parts of the tractor work as they should. The issues that will need to be addressed in time are it has a very slow seep out of the power steering hydraulic ram, the tach does not work, and the rear rims are rusty but still usable. The lh is the worse. I put a canopy on it and roll over bar for safety. Also i pulled the original seat (it goes with the tractor) and put a nice comfortable bucket seat on it with seat belts. 1958 John Deere 420 H this tractor has a good serial number tag with the H on it the serial number is 128324 only 610 420 H’s built, this tractor starts, runs and drives excellent, it has good oil pressure and does not smoke the engine runs excellent you can idle all the way down and it just keeps on running, the front end is good and the rear drops are good with no welds, the steering is good it steers easy, the front endis not sloppy, it has the three point hitch which works good, the front tires are brand new the rear tires are 12.4/38 and are brand new, the sheetmetal is excellent flawless and the paint is as god as a new car finish, you will look long and hard to find a nicer tractor, it has all three lights and they do work even the dash light works, the clutch is good the brakes work good, transmission is good the tractor is quiet when driving there are no noises or whines at all, seat cushions are new, I really dont know anything this tractor needs it starts runs and drives excellent with a restoration that is as good as they come very nice look the photos over ask questions if needed. Recently took this tractorto a local show it was four miles round trip drove and ran great. Also for sale locally. Ford New Holland 1995 model 8340 SLE. Has the 7.5L Turbocharged Genesis engine. Over 10,000hrs, tach not working. Engine runs great, makes full power with only a hint of smoke under full load. (Earlier models were not turbocharged). Does a lot of work on a little fuel! Starts, runs, operates, shifts in all gears, 4×4, 16×16 powershift Transmission, 7.5L turbo diesel engine. Large frame, self leveling loader. This tractor was used regularly over the last several years we had it and is still going strong but it could use some attention in the areas indicated below. Cab, heat works, A/C works, likely needs a recharge. Turbocharged Engine is strong and runs great! Front wheel drive works like it should. Has electronic draft control. 3pt lift arms included. Not sure if it functions fully or not as did not use it. Forward and reverse syncronizer needs attention. Seams to have a leaking seal internally in transmission as when working in 2nd and 4th gear Hyd output flow drops to loader, etc. Loader functions as it should. No major leaks anywhere on tractor. Cab interior has seen lots of use but all windows etc, are intact. (will add more photos soon). Rear tires had fluid in them but it was removed, will include what I have left on hand if requested 80-110gal? No longer need this tractor and need to sell it ASAP. Cash in hand talks.
